Return & Refund Policy

At Chai Cart, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Our return policy is designed to provide you with peace of mind when shopping for pre-owned Chai items.

Return Period

You have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to return an item. Returns must be initiated within this period to be eligible for a refund.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following conditions:

  • The item must be in the same condition as received
  • All original tags, labels, and authenticity cards must be attached
  • The item must not have been worn, altered, or damaged
  • All original packaging (dust bags, boxes) must be included
  • A valid proof of purchase (order number) must be provided

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Intimate apparel and swimwear
  • Earrings and body jewelry (for hygiene reasons)
  • Customized or altered items
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase
  • Items purchased during promotional sales (unless otherwise stated)

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer service team at returns@ChaiCart.pk
  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. Wait for return authorization (usually within 24-48 hours)
  4. Pack the item securely with all original materials
  5. Ship to our returns address provided in the authorization email

Return Shipping

Buyer Responsibility: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or significantly not as described.

Insured Shipping: We strongly recommend using insured shipping for items valued over Rs 50,000. Chai Cart is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  1. We will notify you via email within 3-5 business days
  2. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method
  3. Refunds typically appear within 7-14 business days, depending on your payment provider

Refund Amount

The refund amount will include:

  • The purchase price of the item
  • Original shipping cost (if applicable)

A restocking fee of 5% may apply to returns without a valid reason (e.g., change of mind).

Authenticity Guarantee

All items sold on Chai Cart are authenticated by our experts. If you believe an item is not authentic:

  • Contact us immediately within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide detailed photos and explanation
  • We will conduct a re-authentication process
  • If found inauthentic, you will receive a full refund plus return shipping costs

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damage or incorrect item
  • We will arrange for return shipping at no cost to you
  • A replacement or full refund will be issued

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item:

  1. Return the original item following our return process
  2. Receive your refund
  3. Place a new order for the desired item
